Aporophyllum Edna Bellamy is a hybrid between the aporocactus and the epiphyllum. It is best grown as a hanging plant. It is the same as other epiphyllums in that it needs partial sun, a wet-to-dry watering schedule and a cool, dry period during the winter so as to promote spring flowering. This plant has 3" flowers are an stunning orange color which is highlighted with pink tones. The blooms show up along the hanging stems opening over several weeks in the Spring. To help promote blooms, grow dry and cold in the winter with nights below 60 and above freezing. Once buds are clearly visible, watering can be resumed.
